Administrative Assistant, Tara Jones, thrives in a learning environment. That drive has contributed to her successful career working under C-level executives in a variety of industries, including insurance, healthcare and automotive.
That zest for learning is also part of what drew her to Crispin: it gave her the opportunity to expand her knowledge and learn about the broadcasting industry.
Says Tara, “It’s been fascinating to learn how, in this industry, in particular, one small thing can affect so many other moving parts. From now on, I’ll always watch TV differently, knowing all that goes on behind the scenes.”
Originally from Fayetteville, Tara majored in Psychology at UNC-Charlotte before moving to the Raleigh area. Here, she spends her free time going to the park with her dog, Dax, a 13-year-old Beagle-Jack Russell mix.
Tara and Dax also have a special tradition: watching Law & Order: SVU together. In fact, if Dax is in another room when the theme song comes on, he’ll come to join her, so they can sit and watch it together.
Tara also relishes the role of being an aunt to her seven nieces and nephews. “They bring me so much joy! Being an aunt has been such a fun, incredible experience,” she says.
When she’s not spending time with her nieces and nephews, Tara is planning her next travel adventure. She says, “I’m currently counting down to my next trip: a seven-day Caribbean cruise with stops in Cuba, the Virgin Islands, St Kitts and St Lucia. It’s my personal aspiration to visit every country in the world at least once, and this trip will help get me one step closer.”
